Fashion from 18th-19th century is surely very interesting. Especially if we focused in Romantic or Victorian era. The name of 'Victorian era' itself is taken from Queen Victoria which was the monarch of the United Kingdom. Clothes from this era were very restrictive on the body who wear them. They couldn't move freely because of the thick layered dress (as I researched, there are 8 or 9 layers of undergarment they had to wear). But the dresses and undergarments were cut in a style to show off the figure in the modest way, that's why fashion from this era looked very chic and elegant.
